Last month, Skyline Corporation announced they would have to close its manufactured housing plant in Mansfield if they could not find a buyer.
Last week, the news turned brighter after Champion Home Builders stepped in to purchase the plant, and stated they would likely keep the 105 workers who were currently employed by Skyline.
The 80,000 SF facility is located at 606 S. Second Avenue. It was converted from producing recreational facilities to manufactured housing in 2014.
Champion Home Builders produces manufactured homes, modular homes, mobile homes, park models and commercial modular buildings – with 28 facilities located across the country.
According to a filing with the SEC, the deal is scheduled to close on or before April 7th.
