The incredibly hot DFW housing market has created cheers and jeers from homeowners.

According to data provided by the Tarrant Appraisal District, since 2015, the total appraised values increased by 24 percent in Colleyville, by 25 percent in Grapevine, and by 26 percent in Southlake. As appraisals rise, so follows a rise in property taxes.
Why are so many flocking to the Colleyville, Grapevine and Southlake area? According to officials with the Tarrant Appraisal District, several companies have relocated their headquarters from California to North Texas.
- Kubota Tractor Corp, Grapevine
